Three Things Meme
Name three things you've done that you don't think anybody else on your friends list has done. Then see if you get any, "Hey! I did that too!" responses.
1. Opened for James Brown (and had the singer of the band call for "Hot Pants" in the middle of our set. Really? We're opening for James Brown and you want to play "Hot Pants"? As it turned out, both James and Maceo Parker dug our version and all was well.)
2. Fixed the transmission linkage on a Ford Van with a CB antenna ball-mount at 3am in -20°F temperatures in Cedar Rapids, IA. And the repair lasted 30,000 miles.
3. Got called to audition for The Crusaders in the late '70s just after Larry Carlton left the band and turned them down because I didn't want to play "fuzak" (and there's a part of me that still slaps my forehead and goes, "Just how freaking stupid can you be?")
