Mas cafe, por favor!

My old coffee roaster had been acting up. The timer had started resetting in the middle of a cooling cycle, which was a pain in the ass, but when it started resetting in the middle of a roast, that made it impossible to use. The manufacturer (Nesco) is unwilling to just send the microprocessor board so that I can replace it, and shipping to and from their service center in the Midwest plus the cost of the part would be a significant part of the cost of a new unit (which, considering how crappy the customer service was turning out to be, I was not particularly interested in). So...
I decided to pick up one of these. It comes with 8 lbs. of assorted beans, so I can do some test roasts and get used to how it works.
The first roast I did, a Columbian Choco, came out a little lighter than I expected, probably because it was plugged into the same outlet as the refrigerator and was a little voltage starved.

The next two roasts I did, an organic Ethiopian Limu, came out much nicer, somewhere between Full City and Vienna.

Haven't tasted the Colombian yet, but we had the Ethiopian this morning. Good body, nice finish, with a little rose-hip aftertaste. We're going to let the Colombian degas for another day or two and then try it.
Mmmmmm. coffee.
