Bacteria refine Biodiesel
Now if only the state of California wasn't so anti-diesel for passenger cars. One of the big advantages of biodiesel is that harmful emissions are greatly reduced (93% less hydrocarbon emission and 30% less particulate matter, far less carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide*) as compared to petroleum diesel fuels. The only emission that seems slighter higher from biodiesel is NO (nitric oxide). Hey, slip another nitrogen atom in there and it would be something we could all smile about.
